Heat Index changed to Humidex on Trends and Gauges

Hi

Query about Heat index Vs Humidex in terms of display on web pages. Unfortunately, I live in a place that rarely gets above 27C  so therefore according to http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Heat_index Heat Index will always equal Temperature.

I'm therefore interested in viewing the results from Humidex instead. I've selected the Display option for Humidex and after changing the indexT web page to display this, now have humidex displayed on the "now" page. However am unsure if I can change both the Trends and the Gauges graphs so that they display Humidex rather than Heat Index.

Alternatively, is there a way I can remove Head Index line entirely from the Temperature trend graph as it's a useless addition since it's always the same as the current temperature?

I understand from other posts that I can simply remove the Heat Index gauge from the html gauges code - no worries there.

Appreciate any feedback.

Cheers
Maree

There's no way to change what's plotted on the temperature chart. When I put in the option of displaying humidex instead of heat index, I should have changed the graph at the same time, but it didn't occur to me, and no-one pointed out the anomaly at the time. This ought to be changed.

As things stand, if you don't reach the threshold for heat index, the line should be hidden behind the temperature line, so it's only the legend item which is "useless".

You could change the heat index gauge to display humidex instead by modifying the gaugesT.htm file.

Hi Steve

Thanks for the confirmation. Would be nice to see that feature in future, if possible, maybe something for Cumulus 2 (go Cumulus 2 development ;) )?

Yes, it's in fact the item on the legend I'd like to remove since it's kinda confusing that you can't "see" the line (as you say it's actually hidden behind temperature). I've already had a couple of people who regularly use my website ask "why can't I seem to see the heat index" trend?

Moving to a much warmer climate would of course fix it, but unlikely to happen :)

Appreciate your quick response.

Regards
Maree
