Other Networks

Hi
Just an enquiry to see if there are any primary teachers out there who have set up an AWS for their school & have any useful tips?
Are there any weather networks especially set up for schools? I was having a look at the GLOBE website & note that they have an upload facility for Davis instruments - could Cumulus be modified to send data to Globe?
Cheers
Steve

I'd need to know what and where the GLOBE website is and then what protocol they use for uploads. Or is this something that only education users have access to?

Hi Steve
http://www.globe.gov
with a page on their protocols:
http://classic.globe.gov/fsl/html/templ ... ge&lang=en
But it looks like participants just email their data!
I was looking for a dedicated schools automatic network . . still the Cumulus map is getting pretty full!
Thanks
Steve

Yes, the Davis document there talks about manually exporting the data in GLOBE email format once a week and emailing it in. There's a reference to a document with the email data format: "Logging and reporting weather station data lab guide" but I don't see that document anywhere.
