Problem Solved - I hope!

Hi All,
For weeks now I have had problems with my website being unobtainable, Cumulus failing to do a 'web update' Errors implicating the FTP uploader & me even thinking that my wireless modem had given up the ghost. I also had programs failing to upload , update etc when there had never been a problem before. To cut a long story short , by yesterday I had to reboot my computer over a dozen times to get Cumulus & my website up and running & within a short time they would go down again. Having tried many things I decided to uninstall my Zone Alarm (free) & remove all evidence from my computer. I then got a fresh download & installed it. Apart from the slight inconvenience of pop ups asking if I wanted a program to be allowed to access the internet EVERYTHING WORKED.Since this am my website has been up & running, Cumulus & my FTP program are working fine, no problems with the modem & no error messages. LIFE IS GREAT! :D :D :D :D
If anyone else is having problems it could be Zone alarm or similar.

I wish! The euphoria has abated a little. It is much better & I am keeping an eye on Zone Alarm. If I allow 'Picassa 3' to go on line I immediately lose contact with the web page.I must say, it is a lot better - usually goes off 2-3 times a day. There seems to be a conflict somewhere. When the Web page fails to update, File / web update in Cumulus has always become greyed out. I close & then reopen Cumulus & it all updates automatically until the next time. I mostlly get
"FTP Connect Error, Error code= 10051 OR
" " " = 530 if I click on error.
I also notice that on my Belkin Wireless modem router the green licht ceases flashing over the WWW - so something could be wrong with that.

This is an error returned by the ftp server - "Login failure/authentication failed"

Right, but both errors are not happening all the time so what is causing them. It's running quite happily at the moment! I think.
