Wind Run??

Newbie to Cumulus. Seems like a great product, I really like the interface, much better than Easy Weather.....having said all that my question is, and I'll probably be really embarrassed at the answer but what exactley is Wind Run.....I've just enstalled the software and the weind run is showing 141.5 K......."latest 14.8.......Gust 15.8K......Av12.5K ....I eagerly await a reply...cheers

Your definition looks fine to me. There's not much more you can say about it without making analogies, e.g. if wind speed is like the speedometer in a car, then wind run is like the odometer.

Thanks David, and Steve......Steve I do like this programme and will donate when I get back to Melbourne, I'm down the coast, on a slow and maybe not too secure wirless connection....

While we are talking about wind run, is it possible to add a total at end of month & end of year etc. , or in 'extremes' ???

You can get monthly and annual wind run totals from the 'this month' and 'this year' screens.
