New user asking for help ??
Hello, I am a new user just starting to use the Cumulus software. I cannot find where to reset my WH1091 base station data (clear base station memory) after connecting to laptop and performing download of data. I normally just connect and download weekly and with the easyweather program I used to use I could clear the memory of the base station post data transfer. With cumulus I cannot see how to. I have the WH1091 model. I hope this is in the correct area and apologise if not, but would appreciate any help. Thanks Peter.

You can't clear the memory using Cumulus, it can only read from the station. Why do you want to do that anyway?

The base has a scale of 0-100% for capacity, I figured when it was 100% it could take no more data in, or would start dropping off the oldest data and I want to catch it before this happens. I have just been downloading the data into cumulus and then quickly hooking up to easyweather straight away and clearing out. Peter.

When the memory is full, it automatically starts using the oldest entries again, so you never need to clear it. As long as you connect often enough, you won't lose any data, e.g. about once a fortnight for a 5 minute interval - clearing the memory doesn't change this.

Re: New user asking for help ??
No need to clear the data. The oldest is lost as new data is added. Nothing nasty happens. Cumulus just downloads data from the point it left off. This way everything works perfectly. In fact if you use EasyWeather to clear the memory you could lose some data. Not recommended.

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.

Ah - thanks for confirming that, Gina. I was going to say that could happen, as it seemed quite likely (from what I know about how the station firmware works), but I wasn't sure.Gina wrote:In fact if you use EasyWeather to clear the memory you could lose some data.
