Cumulus in German Language?

Post by Ralf »

Hello,

I'm from German and use the Cumulus V 1.8.9 Build 930.
The Weather-Data from my Station are present on http://www.ralfs-plauderstube.de/wetter.

I try to translate it in the German Language. The lokal Files whit the "T" under ..\Cumulus\web are not the Problem.

Is it possible to edit the Data which comes from the Cumulus.exe ???
I mean the Data like... "waning gibbios" by the Moon Phase or the Forecast-Descriptions.
I would be pleased, if there is a possible to translate it in the File.

I'm happy when I can help to accomplish a German Version of Cumulus.

Greetings,

Ralf
SORRY: My English is not well, but I try to make me understood. :-)

You can translate some of the strings using the strings.ini file. See the help, and here - http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Strings.ini

I'll be adding other strings to this file from time to time.

some of the phrases are indeed hardcoded within cumulus.exe. For example: Phrases sent to Twitter.
Some of the text sent to twitter is using the strings.ini but some of the text is hardcoded within cumulus.exe.
This is a nice effect.

...and maybe in a future version all phrases are located in one file.

You can create your own Twitter message. See the help file, and here: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Twitter
