Maximum temp here today 15.9C. And yes, it's the middle of summer here.
 but... I already live in one of the coldest, wettest parts of South Australia! When Gerard recorded over 45 degrees I only recorded 40 degrees. ;)

No flash floods likely to occur in my area, although we did have a tornado back in June 2005 that did a lot of tree and property damage. We don't even have any waterways our rainfall is so small and the land so flat.

Personally we were spared but many people had damage to their homes and in a few instances they were distroyed.

Edit:
By the way, the website I linked to above is a great personal weather site with heaps of interesting stuff. Nothing to do with our hilla (Phil) as far as I know.
No nothing to do with me but his webcam is pointed in my direction. I live in those moutains on the horizon. ;)

This figure equates to similar official figures for Australian Bureau of Meteorology stations in my area.

Just had highest rainfall rate:

Highest Rain Rate 62.2 mm/hr at 8:14 PM on 31 July 2010

It really bucketed down but only for a few minutes as a front went through.

Cloud base is 39 metres today & 100% humidity. Could explain why I can't see more than 200 metres.
My house is at 46 metres.

I thought it must have been 100% today but my Davis humidity sensor only goes up to 98%. It does record 100% "spikes" sometimes which is odd. Guess the humidity sensor isn't that flash :?

Mine does 100% OK. It's 100% here quite often, that's how I know!

Can the humidity really be 100%? I seem to remember reading/hearing/seeing that it doesn't actually reach 100%. My F.O. one seems to sit at 99% (it's maximum) a lot, even when it's not foggy or raining and I doubt the validity of its reading.

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.

Yes; in fact it's possible under some conditions for supersaturation to occur, i.e. RH greater than 100%.
