Perhaps I have a politician living near me Mark that caused that extra hot air!

That makes it even more impressive. Warmest Jan day in 24 years. Wow!

A bitter cold and clear bright sunny morning at a low of -24.3 which will make my Top 10 as number 9. But an even higher 1045.25 pressure which is now the alltime high.

Only a Wind Gust record for this location since August, but it just clocked up a respectable 45.3mph. I'm sure that will be broken in the next 7 days if the forecast is anything like accurate.

Just recorded our highest UV reading of 17.6.

This is not from my station. This is from Darwin, 15km from here, and is a reading from the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency. My station doesn't record this data, which brings me to a question. What is the highest yours will read too, and is there one that will read over 17?

The Davis sensor max's out at 16 - well that is the Max input value to the ISS SIM anyway.

Thanks Mark, as I know some others only read to 12 or 12+. I'm thinking of upgrading mine, and looking at what will read high UV and to 1% humidity (or under the 10% my WH1081 stops at).
Cheers.

I feel a bit of a fraud reporting a record temperature of -3.6 Celsius, but that is a record low for me in this location, just 4 miles from the 'mild' North Sea. Being in north Devon previously where any minus figure was a rarity, makes it seem relatively extreme.
Unless we do see any proper nor' nor' easterly weather it is about as cold as a westerly wind will bring here.

We just equalled my all time highest wind gust record this morning of 53 mph - a little unexpected, a noticeable temperature drop accompanied it too.
