After depression Stephanie I have got this, to complement the graph I posted earlier:

Image

I had 95 kph sustained winds for over two minutes and successive 100 km/h gusts. Here's an excerpt I decoded from the data files with all the gusts:
18:27: 84,6 km/h
18:28: 102,0 km/h
18:29: 120,0 km/h
18:30: 116,0 km/h
18:31: 122,0 km/h

18:32: 94,3 km/h
18:33: 80,6 km/h

The Fine Offset behaved really well there.

Mike,

I'm a little surprised that's your highest rain rate. You must have missed the storms in summer last year. I had a reading of 9" (225mm) an hour in one brief cloudburst last July.

Did you notice the sudden drop in temperature as the cold front passed through?

At 13:53 it was 14.4C. At 14:28 it had dropped to 9.3C. That's 5.1C (or 9.2F) in 35 minutes. If you were out you might have noticed it.

It's probably not a record but since Cumulus doesn't record these events it's hard to say. Interesting nevertheless.

Slightly higher rainfall rate of 68.1 mm/hr at 13:20 on 07 June 2014, again courtesy of a thunderstorm. The rainfall didn't show up on the rainfall radar until it was right over me, and then it suddenly dropped. :o

First time in the 2 1/2 years since I've been running my Davis Vantage Vue that it hit 100% humidity early this morning after a previous day with heavy rainfall.

Usually the max humidity is 98%, or once in awhile 99% but never saw 100% before this morning.

Looks like you got a drenching that passed me by Ray, only managed 13.2mm/hr at 1311hrs. By the time I got back from London, the road surfaces were bone dry again :D

A new all-time for me too, just a little less than yours at 225.8 mm/h @ 14:25 - I'd be just about at the M4 on the way home by then.
