These low temps are not the norm for the East Coast of the North Island of NZ.

I'm at 100 something days with out rain, and that's normal every year during the dry season, and we just had 3 meters of rain during the wet season. There are parts in Australia that haven't had rain for several years (I belive).
Have just got -3.5 C Dew point. And have just descovered that my FO only reads down to 10% humidity?

Equally here. Tomorrow 74 mph wind gusts are expected and lots of rain I expect to break my current wind records (I only have the station for a month). I just hope it won't fly.

Mine did fly!!! The wind vane top popped off the top only after sustaining wind up to 40kmph for 6 minutes.
Did break a highest Dew point record before that storm though!
