I thought my September 2024 Sunhours of 262 hrs were high at an average of 7.4 hrs/day compared to 5.8 hrs average since 2011, But 2024 October 213.1 hrs and average 6.9/day compared to 3.6 average is even more impressive.
October high temperature of 26.4°C didn't set any day high record, but the October average of 18.5°C was a high monthly, and compared to the 16 year average of 15.7°C.
Yesterday's high of 22.2°C and no rain nor snow made a great evening for the kids in costumes out for Halloween.
Enjoy,
Paul

A new November monthly record. Longest dry period due to the large high pressure positioned over and to the east of Britain. I imagine the record will continue for several more days with no rain forecast.

Too much dew and drizzle here, which put pay to any dry records.

A new all time daily record for november 24th for my station: maximum temperature 18.1°C. Long term max temp for today is 8.2°C according to the Dutch national weather service. It also is a Dutch national record for this date since official measurements started. (19.1° in Ell, Limburg)
Yesterday at the same time here it was 5.0°C...
This is caused by south to southwest winds which brought increasingly mild air from the southwest of Europe.

I think you'd have to be in a fairly coastal location to get that sort of number. I bet Steve beat it when he was up in the Orkneys

My windrun record is 542.0 miles. I'm about as far from the coast as you can get. Good exposure is key. Mine was set in a strong easterly in Feb 2021.

Shropshire counts as being in the mountains as far as
the UK England is concerned!

New high gust record of 54 knots (62 mph). My neighbour's fence has developed an alarming slant!

Today, 15 January 2025, my weather station has recorded the lowest temperature since its installation in August 2012:
-3.8ºC.
A very remarkable figure for a town in southeastern Spain less than 40km from the sea.
