Could you explain a bit more about what you are trying to do? Cumulus works much better if you allow it to drive the station directly, missing out Easyweather altogether. But in any case, even if you really do want to run it this way, I don't understand why you want to upload the easyweather.dat file to the internet, or how you are trying to do it.

I suspect that the fact that you are using Windows 7 is the reason you can't find the file; Windows 7 hides files when software tries to write to the Program Files hierarchy. For example, if you install Cumulus to Program Files, its data files actually end up in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Cumulus and the same will be true with Easyweather.

Steve

To explain i am trying to put the infomation up on a web site. I had easy weather installed first and when i installed Cumulus during the set up for Station Type i put in Easy Weather (using .dat file) and then further down i pointed it to the dat file as i thought it need easy weather to run the station? but when i went to get the dat file it did not show it been there. Just after unstalling easy weather. So is the dat file in Cumulus under C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Cumulus\data. Just that the person that is looking after the site asked me for a dat file.
Once again any help greatly appreciated.

The 'easyweather.dat' method of using Cumulus with a Fine Offset station was just a hack from before I learned how to drive the station directly. It is much better from a Cumulus point of view to choose 'Fine Offset' and not to run Easyweather at all (or certainly not at the same time as Cumulus anyway). If you do that, Cumulus doesn't need the easyweather.dat file.

I have no idea what the person looking after your web site is going to do with the easyweather.dat file, but I suppose it would be possible to use PHP or whatever and display the data from that file (like you can do with Cumulus and the realtime.txt file). Assuming you have Easyweather installed under Program Files, the easyweather.dat file will be in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Easyweather somewhere, I guess. Note that it's a hidden folder, so you will need to set Windows to display hidden files and folders.

I don't really know much about Easyweather, I'm afraid; hopefully someone who does will turn up soon and be able to help you better than I can!
