Realtime.txt generate/no FTP?

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to have the Realtime.txt file be enabled (say every 8 seconds), but NOT have it FTP to my website.
Basically, I would like to keep my regular web files being updated and FTP'd every 10 minutes, but also have the Realtime.txt file only created locally every 8 seconds to be used for other purposes.
Thanks,
-Scott

I was thinking about this the other day. There's currently no way to have realtime enabled but not have the realtime.txt file created and ftp'd, independently of the normal ftp.
There needs to be separate options for enabling realtime (which just starts the periodic timer), creating the standard realtime.txt file, and whether or not you want it ftp'd. Could you create an enhancement request, please?

In idea, but untested by me.....could you create your own realtime file using webtags, and ask Cumulus to process this in realtime but not FTP it?

Yes, but the standard realtime.txt file would still get created and ftp'd.

I chose my resolution, but I remote into the pc. I'm not sure that it really matters all that much.
