Graphs window
Hi
Would it be possible to add a scrollbar to the graphs windows when it doesn't fit on screen? I have my Text DPI at 200% so the bottom row of graphs are off the bottom of the window.
Also if you try to minimise the graphs window, its impossible to maximise again.
Thanks

Re: Graphs window
What screen resolution do you use? Do you not have the same problem with any of the other windows? Some of them are taller than the graphs window.wheely wrote:Would it be possible to add a scrollbar to the graphs windows when it doesn't fit on screen? That's odd. When I minimise the graphs window, I get a little minimised window just above the task bar, and I can maximise it from that. Do you not get that? Also if you try to minimise the graphs window, its impossible to maximise again.

1920 x 1080. I think the 'This period' windows are affected too, just never noticed before.steve wrote:What screen resolution do you use? Do you not have the same problem with any of the other windows? Some of them are taller than the graphs window.
No I don't. I have the "autohide the taskbar" setting on in Windows and after some testing this setting seems to completely hide the minimised windows.steve wrote:That's odd. Re: Graphs window
I tried setting my display to 200%. Mine is 1050 high, and with the taskbar set to auto-hide, I could just see all of the graphs. Not perfect, but usable. So I don't understand why you can't when your display is larger than mine. Could you show me a screen shot?
I think the minimise problem is also related to the 200% screen size setting, I got the same problem of the minimised window disappearing at that setting, but it works fine at 100%.

Re: Graphs window
I don't understand why you get less on your screen at the same DPI setting than I do on my slightly smaller screen.
But anyway. The problem is that Cumulus isn't DPI-aware. It's a lot of work to make it DPI-aware, and this isn't helped by the fact that Microsoft have changed the way it works in Vista and Windows 7.
I'll have to have a think and see if I can come up with an easy solution, but I suspect there isn't one.

Re: Graphs window
Hi Steve
I think the reason you cannot reproduce it is my screen uses a 16:9 ratio (compared to 16:10). I.e. Because my screen is wider the window is made bigger on my screen cropping more off the bottom.
While I can understand automatic resizing of the window would be some work, is it not possible to add a scrollbar as a workaround? Is this difficult in Delphi? *dev hat on*
I will just carry on viewing the graphs via the browser.

Re: Graphs window
Quite possibly. But it's a similar problem - working out when the window needs resizing and the scrollbar displaying. If it was a quick fix that I could guarantee wouldn't screw things up for the majority of users, I'd do it, but it's not, so I will have to look into it when I get chance.wheely wrote:is it not possible to add a scrollbar as a workaround?

Re: Graphs window
I think I've found the 'quick fix' - make the window resizeable, which then causes the scroll bars to appear when necessary; you may need to maximise the window to get to see all of it.
I can't do anything about the minimise problem.

Re: Graphs window
I have the same issue with Toolbox -- trying to make it scale correctly for high DPI levels. It's not made easy that's for sure

Sounds great; I'll give it a try when you release the next beta.
Thanks

Hi Steve
I can confirm that the latest beta shows a scrollbar.
Thanks for implementing this
