Hello All
I have something strange that happens, when I get home from work around 4 pm, I turn on the monitor for the PC I have Cumulus running on and Cumulus is shut down at that point and time.
All I do is tap the space bar and or move the mouse.
But all day long it is running just fine.
It is also connected to a rs 232 port running Windows XP
Any idea what is the cause.
The PC doesn't go to sleep or screen saver anything like that.
This has just started in the last week or so.
Ver 1.8.9
Thanks Leonard

Do you mean Cumulus magically restarts when you move the mouse ?
But you just said it was closed down !...
But all day long it is running just fine...
......................Imagine, what you will KNOW tomorrow !

Re: Shut Down
No it shuts down, it don't re start it's like the movement of he mouse or space bar shuts it down.
It will run all day and night until I turn on the montor.
I am also confused
I went to check to see if it was running and it was shut down!
It may be the virus program, when it updates it may be changing the settings i'am not sure at this time.
I changed the settings on the virus program and will see if that works.

Re: Shut Down
Zip up the diags files and attach them and I'll see if I can see why it's closing down. Do you actually see it close down? The window is there on the screen when the monitor comes on, the Cumulus clock is showing the correct time, and then it closes down as if you had told it to?

Re: Shut Down
All of the diags file 'just stop'; there are no messages about Cumulus closing down. So it looks like it is crashing, but if that were the case you would expect to see an error message, and presumably you are not? Have a look in the Cumulus folder to see if you have a bugreport.txt file.
Is it possible that your PC is rebooting? There have been a number of Microsoft updates recently, and you say this has only started happening recently. For example, it actually closed down/crashed/whatever at about 3.03 pm yesterday. My server also rebooted at about the same time to apply updates.

Re: Shut Down
By the way, you have one or more errors in your Mar10log.txt file:
2010-03-10 05:02:06 : Error reading Logfile: List index out of bounds (9)
Possibly caused by these untidy shutdowns. Have a look through the file, you probably have some blank lines.

Re: Shut Down
Thanks Steve for looking at my mess.
I turned off the auto update (microsoft) and will give it a try.
Also found that my Virus scan program may have also been part of the problem.
I will keep you updated.
Thanks! For you time!!!!!!!!!!
