It's quite possible that the other data is being corrupted, but if it's only for one reading, and the corrupt figures don't break any records and don't happen to occur at 'log time', then they just disappear again on the next read. Rainfall is always the tricky one because it's not an absolute, instantaneous figure, it's a comparison of two readings taken at different points in time.mcrossley wrote:What does puzzle me if that is true is why it is only the rainfall data that is getting corrupted.

Re: Changing the rainfall multiplier
The console is showing 49.5mm of rain in the last 24 hours. As Cumulus is showing a more realistic 0.4mm for the sprinkle we had overnight, I would expect the base station to be showing 1.6mm.
The rain multiplier in Cumulus is set to 0.25.
The only files I have had to edit are "alltime.ini" - highrainratevalue=144 and highhourlyrainvalue=12 (and associated dates)
and "today.ini" to correct the rate value - High=144 - (I reset it to 1 for the lack of anything better), the totals were fine.
Odd one this isn't it.

Re: Changing the rainfall multiplier
What must have happened this time (for the 'reset' code not to have been triggered) is that the counter went up by 48 (so 12 for Cumulus) briefly, and then back down to the normal level. So the apparent rate briefly peaked, but the totals were OK again once the counter had returned to normal.
