Outside Temperature Calibration

I have an indoor/outdoor digital thermometer which I have checked against a standard mercury one. The outdoor sensor is small enought to put up inside the tube in my FARS right beside the F.O. sensor. I have been comparing readings and the WS is showing 1.5 to 2 degrees C high! I suspected this when I compared readings between WS and thermometer in the shade of the house. I'll conduct more tests on a cloudy day - we have sunny spells today which is causing about a degree variation.

I suspect this is simply component tolerancing. Mine matches other outside thermometers within about 0.5 degree C, but the inside reads 2 degrees C high. (I just entered a -2 correction in Cumulus). Both in and out seem reasonably linear, although I've only had a 6 degree variation indoors and about a 35 degree variation outdoors.
