Cumulus Support

As I'm running two instances of Cumulus (one in development), I thought it was about time I donated for the second one which I have just done. Can't wait to get it 'live' when I visit France at the end of the month.

As others have said, YOUR hobby Steve has given ME a new hobby, not just the weather but HTML etc. It has taken something like a weather station to really get me interested in playing with HTML for a useful purpose and not just for a static info website.

I've just come across this thread. It's good to hear of your enthusiasm for a revamped C1. There's nothing worse than writing code you don't enjoy. Look forward to seeing the results!

Sorry to hear that Steve. At least it's Friday so hopefully things will pick up on Monday. You'll have Cum v1.9 finished by then!

Please ignore this thread. The idea I had for a 'facelift' 1.9 instead of Cumulus 2 is turning into a complete rewrite. I hadn't realised that the only thing that "Delphi Prism" has in common with Delphi, is that for some reason they put "Delphi" into the name. None of the advantages I saw (building on the stability etc) actually exist as most of the code would be new anyway.

So, I have to apologise again, and announce that I am going to continue with the version of Cumulus 2 which is comprsised of 3 parts: A Windows service, which does most of the work, a control application for configuring the service and a 'viewer' for displaying the data. The viewer will look pretty much like the existing Cumulus 2 alpha.

Thanks for keeping us informed of your decisions. Take your time and work at a comfortable pace. I'm sure C2 will be great but in the meantime C1 is working just fine.

I think it's only fair, rather than say nothing, even if it does make me look somewhat capricious.

In the meantime I'll try to fit in a few Cumulus 1 enhancements.

I had to look capricious up! Not people born under Capricorn then?

v1 enhancements will be good.
