Setting up website problem
I've just put the Cumulus site online today and I am having a problem with the images and graphs, they won't come up. The data is there but nothing else. What should I do? My site is http://homepage.eircom.net/~dunmoreweather/

Re: Setting up website problem
It looks like you haven't created an images folder. Or uploaded the style sheet etc. Have a look at 'setting up your web site' in the help, and in the wiki, here - http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Simple_Website_setup

Re: Setting up website problem
Hi
I've done everything you said using FileZilla and uploading the files weatherstyle.css
wz_jsgraphics.js, CumulusRealtime.swf, and dbimages. However the site doesn't seem to be receiving them. FileZilla says they are at the Remote Site so what's happening. Any suggestions?

You have to create maps like images and http://homepage.eircom.net/~dunmoreweather/images doesn't exist and dbimages too.

Re: Setting up website problem
They're not appearing on your web site, so I can only think that you're not putting them in the correct place on the ftp server. Did you put weatherstyle.css into the same folder where Cumulus is uploading the index.htm (etc) files?Silverado wrote:Hi

Yes, I think that I'm getting there. How do I get my background picture onto the site?

Another problem, the gauges aren't working. What do I need to do?

Re: Setting up website problem
You have to make a directory (map) /images and /dbimages ftp the images to the right maps as descibed in the wiki

Re: Setting up website problem
Okay, that's a great help, thank you. I've created the directories images and dpimages and most things are working except for my real time wind and the background picture in the index page. Any suggestions?

Re: Setting up website problem
The background image is a file in the images folder called picture.jpg.
To get the realtime gauges to work you need to enable realtime uploads in the internet settings.

Re: Setting up website problem
Great, the gauges are all working and I have the picture up. I want to swop the picture for one of my own, I have tried a lot of permutations but none of them are working. What should I do?

Re: Setting up website problem
all you need to do is give your new picture the same file name "picture.jpg" and upload it to the "images" folder on your website.
Your browser may be cacheing the file so when you are on your Cumulus website press the refresh button (or CTRL+R) to force a re-read of the page info
