Hi
I was checking my graphs last night Cumulus/View/ Graphs and I noticed that the time intervals had reduced to 5mins, on checking this morning the intervals were 30 mins now they are 1hour. They have always been 2hour intervals, is there an explanation as to
why this happened or how can i get it back to 2hour intervals. I have looked in the config setting but can't find any reference to it. Apart from that Cumulus is working fine.
Thanks
Peter

Re: Graphs
The graphs are plotted at 1-minute intervals while Cumulus is running. When you start Cumulus up, they are initialised with data from the log files. The interval of the data in the log files depends on where the data came from. If it was logged while Cumulus was running, it's at your Cumulus log interval. If it came from the station logger, it's at the station logger interval (although it probably makes sense to have both of those set to the same value).
As a side issue, if you have your station logger set to 2 hour intervals, Cumulus is going to have problems doing the end of day rollover.
Hold on. Having typed all of that, are you talking about the scale on the axis? A screen shot would help.

Re: Graphs
Hi Steve
Yes it was the axis I was referring to, checked this morning and it has now returned to normal . I don't quite know what happened there but it now seems ok.
Thanks
Peter

Re: Graphs
The axes auto-scale depending on the data plotted. If your scale was showing a smaller interval than normal, the period of the data plotted must have been shorter than normal. The most likely explanation for this is that you had just restarted Cumulus, it tried to read the data from the log file to initialise the graph, and hit an error reading the file.
If this is the case, if you look in the relevant file in the diags folder, you will see an error message near the beginning about an error reading the log file. If you're using one of the later 1.8.9 builds, it will also tell you the line number. The usual problem is a blank line in the file, which is fairly easy to spot.
