Cumulus window behavior

This isn't a feature request or anything - mostly just curiousity... If I launch one of the sub-windows under the View list (this month, this year, etc.) then use the windows minimize button (leftmost of the 3 in the upper right corner) for this sub-window, the window does not minimize to the task bar, but rather to the lower left corner of the desktop (on the primary screen of a multiple screen system).
I've never seen this behaviour before and I was curious if it's design intent?

Steve is your man for the real answer, but I would say you have almost worked it out for yourself. The key here is 'sub-window' or as developers call it a Modal Window -- it is part of the running application and is not meant to function outwith the control of the current parent/main application, which is why it will not minimize to the task bar
Typically they stop all other actions until they are completed, however in some cases they can allow the main task to continue to run (in the case of Cumulus) however they can not leave the control of the application (i.e. minimize to their own task). When I create Modal Windows I usually remove the minimize button to stop confusion.

You can't minimise the configuration Windows, but the others (graphs etc) it's reasonable that you might want to leave them open and minimise them. But I have no idea why they minimise to the desktop like that - I think it's standard behaviour for 'child' windows.
