Internet connection down -what happens to data?

My net connection went down for a period of time. Probably a few hours. As such Cumulus couldnt update my www page. Does Cumulus store the data for those few hours then send it when the connection is back up?

Similarly, if my computer (running cumulus) is off or if cumulus was shutdown, does cumulus take the data from Davis VP2 data logger and load it all into the Cumulus program. I am pretty sure it does, just want to confirm.

If you're talking about the HTML web pages supplied with Cumulus, there isn't really a concept of storing data or catching up. Each upload is an independent 'snapshot' of whatever Cumulus has available to it at that time; there's no online log or anything that falls behind and needs updating when the connection comes back.

Yes.

Yes.

Assuming the internet connection is down for a period, then when the connection comes back up, it seems to update everything that "happened" while the connection was down? For example the graphing data looks to all come up. Is this because the Davis VP2 Datalogger stores the info?

If Cumulus was running while your internet connection was down, then Cumulus has the data anyway, it doesn't stop gathering data while your internet connection isn't available, the two things are completely independent. If Cumulus wasn't running for some reason while your internet connection wasn't available, then yes, it downloads the data from the VP2 when you start it up again.

Thanks for clarifying Steve.
