Wind Direction option in Select-A-Graph

Post by nking »

Hi Steve,

I wanted to do some research on some of my historical data and thought the easiest method would be the Select-A-Graph feature but there is no option to select wind direction, yet it is available in the usual Graph feature :geek:
Is it an option that could easily be provided or is it prohibitively time consuming? If it’s the latter, do you or any other users reading this have any tools/methods they use to review what was happening on a particular period in the past? It would nice to select a period and be presented with all the graphs as per the Graph option but that is probably a major task. ;)

Many Thanks

This is asked for from time to time, but it's too hard with these charting components, because the other charts are all line charts, and wind direction is a scatter chart.

Hi nking.

i use Excell for post processing data. Any spreadsheet would do though.

I collect all the data in Cumulus and Easyweather.

I also do a monthly collection in Easyweather.

Once in the spreadsheet it allows you to do almost anything with the data.

For example, extraction of date, time and wind speed/direction can be achieved with a few clicks of 'sort data'.

You could also search for wind direction and reveal the dates/times.

Not sure how familiar you are with spreadsheets so sorry if the level of learning is too low.

Call if you need more .

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the advice. I have used Excel for playing with the data but hadn't thought to use it for this. I was just being lazy I guess so thanks for reminding me

See build 912. It's basic but hopefully enough to give an idea of trends.
