Just take your alltime.rec file out of a Cumulus backup, or from the link in your post above

Could you unzip this test program and run it please? See which of the three boxes you can edit. The first has a max of 999, the second 100, and the third has no max.

I tried, first box when I try to enter 999, i just colud enter 99, and when i select second box to edit, third 9 write program automaticly. Same thing with second box, just enter 10, and second zero write program automaticly.
Third box I also edit, with no problems, no digits added automaticly.

The only thing I can do is change all of the boxes to the third type, and have no max/min values, but this is a long tedious process, so I don't know when I'll be able to do it.

Not yet, maybe the next release will. But there's a lot of work to do on it before the next release.

Steve

I checked somethin on my W2K3 Server.
the default Language Settings are German and the original delimiter was a DOT

I copied the Cumulus Folder to my windows 7 Box and tried to edit the Records. It worked.
So I took a look into the settings and the delimiter settings for Germany was: Comma

I switched the delimiter on my W2K3 Box to Comma and opned the Edit All time Records and changed a value.
SUCCESS

Strange....I am sure, on my W2K3 this delimter - DOT - is a default value.
On windows 7 the Comma is a default value. I did not changed anything on either of them.

For me it works.......thanks for the hint within this threat.
Maybe meteo should also try to change his delimiter.

Re. meteo

I don't know if it's of any significance, but ......
Nearly all of those 'records' are Dec 09 - but at the top it says 'Since 25 01 2010' :?

If the data folder is empty, then presumably you installed Cumulus to the Program Files hierarchy, and the data is actually in the Virtual Store location?

Hi Meteo,
If you're using the FTDI usb adapter supplied by LaCrosse, you'll be unlikely to stop erroneous data, no matter what you do.

For what it's worth, I've been running a few tests with a Belkin 'F5U409 USB PDA Adapter' and the results are promising.
So far (3 days) no errors at all.

The down side is driver software.
32-bit drivers for win98, me, 2k and xp are supplied with the unit.
Belkin claim 'this product is incompatible with 64bit operating systems' and as a result, no 64-bit drivers.

I've got it working in Win7 32-bit using a Vista 32-bit driver d/l from belkin.com.

I won't say to go out and buy one of these, but at the moment my test results are promising.
Cheers,
Graeme.
