Followed your Advice Terry
Got the Kit down and there were the NSEW marks loud and proud,I Must have been blinded by the technology the day I fitted it all, I Did check it against the Console, and then marked it
Replaced the batteries with Duracell Pro x 2
Found the inside of the Screen Clean and dry just added some Duck Tape to secure the Battery lid, Did Evict a spider from the screen, Refitted same in correct orientation, and then removed the tempory correction from Cumulus
I now have a spurious rain entry for today, a cloudy but totaly dry day

Looking at your data on your website, your wind direction seems to swing wildly. Is the Vane in a clear area, away from buildings or above them? I found the Duct Tape on the vane's fin to help a lot with direction.
You can edit out your spurious rain data from you November file.

Its now as good as its going to get without a total resite of the pole, and that pretty impossible living here in the middle of the houses and bungalows.
Have been playing with editing the data to get rid of rubbish now seems ok
There are gales and wintry showers for the coming weekend so it will be good to see how it all hangs together.
