I'm sure it's not a new question, I just need help being pointed in the right direction.

What program is out there that will exract the current weather conditions from my local NWS station site ( or xml file ), Google weather, or any other similar site and write it to currentconditions.txt ?

Seems like it would be simple enough, I just don't have that know-how.

Thanks

Thank you water01. I'm still looking for something to "dumb it down" for me. I may have to read the topic over a few more times to understand it a little more. Thank you

Upon further searching, It seem like what I'm trying to do can be accomplished using Python and BeautifulSoup. Right now I'm struggling to get BeautifulSoup installed on my SBC running CMX. Does this sound like anything anyone here has accomplished. I'm just trying to pull the weather condition from my local NWS station, K21D (ie: Fair, Overcast, ect)

https://forecast.weather.gov/xml/current_obs/K21D.xml

And write it to currentconditions.txt periodically every 30 minutes or so .

Is there an easier way to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance
