Cumulus Support

Hi Forum:
I m having problems with Weather Underground - not showing any readings
All my entries are correct concerning:
station id
password
That i m positive about..

I do see on the cumulus screen It consistently shows: Updating Weather Underground


I turned on the debug log, to see what is being sent and to be honest I have no idea how to read it.

Looks like you're having problems connecting to WU. Your history page shows lots of gaps:

The debug log for the times corresponding to the gaps should show if any errors are being returned; or it may just be timing out, I'm not sure if any errors are shown in that case.

That's the debug window; it just shows the data coming from your station. It's the debug log that has the interesting stuff. Turn on from the configuration menu; run for 20 minutes; find debug.log file in the Cumulus installation folder.

Weather Underground do seem to have been having a few problems recently...

New lines of my data stopped displaying on the station page of weather underground last night between about 1700 and 21.00. The rapidfire data was performing as expected and refreshing about every five seconds throughout the period. I lodged a ticket too - you are not alone. Where the data was uploaded on that page, it was complete. At 2100, it just started displaying new data lines again, but the interval was different. There were a couple at about 30 minutes (instead of five) and then it went to ten. After midnight, they went back to a new line every five minutes. To be honest, five minute record intervals are probably far to frequent, so I set Cumulus to upload to WU every 15 minutes. This hasn't had any effect yet and they are still uploading and displaying at five minute intervals. I've probably missed something, but haven't had time to look at the set up which is working away quietly upstairs on an old laptop.

Because rapidfire worked as before, I assumed that the issue was one of updating the page rather than of uploading data. However, the addresses for uploading data to rapidfire and the station records page are different, so I have no idea if it is an upload problem or an updating one.

It's the way rapid fire works. It only does rapid fire updates, and WU works out what interval to display in the history (the interval in Cumulus has no effect).

You must provide the best support on the net. No piece of software I ever used had support done on a real time basis.
