Webtag
I was experimenting with using this following webtag in my wxnow.txt file so my station can report snowfall observed:
<#snow24hr>
The comment added to my wxnow looks like this:
s<#snow24hr> FCST:<#cumulusforecast> https://bit.ly/43Xtq6O
Can you modify the webtag without the decimal?
The current results: 0.00 ( currently no recent snowfall )
I'd like to see it show up as :"00"
Also currently a null value shows up as: "-"
Any way to have a null value come up as ".." or default to "00" ?
Thanks in advance
<#snow24hr>

Re: Webtag
I rewrote it as:
s<#snow24hr nv=00, dp=0> FCST:<#cumulusforecast> https://bit.ly/43Xtq6O
the results are still coming up as 0.00 if I input 0 instead of leaving null
I think I might not understand how to write the dp= correctly

Re: Webtag
You shouldn't have a comma between nv=00 and dp=0. Try this:
Code: Select all
<#snow24hr nv=00 dp=0>- mcrossley

Re: Webtag
I checked, and dp= isn't supported for the snow web tags, it is supposed to be, that is an oversight, I'll fix it for the next release.
nv= is supported though.
nv= is supported though.

Re: Webtag
I just upgraded to build # 4083
After the snowfall last week I was experimenting with the weather diary so that my APRS reports would show the snowfall within the last 24 hours.
It seem like the result in the wxnow need to come out in 3 digit (ie: 1" = 100, 1.75" = 175, 2.25" = 225,ect) Can the webtag be modified like that?
Also I see that Laser Distance Sensors can be added to CMX to automate the measurement. Is the an example of one that can be added anyone can share!

Re: Webtag
If you are using the web tag, then you can add the tag parameter to control the number of decimal places - dp=N - where N is the number of decimals you require.

Re: Webtag
I figured out how to remove the decimal point. I'm wondering if there's a way to force the number to a specific number of digits without the decimal point.
(ie: 1" = 100, 1.75" = 175, 2.25" = 225,ect)
Here is the comment I'm having added on my wxnow file:
s<#snow24hr nv=000 dp=0>FCST: <#cumulusforecast>. https://bit.ly/43Xtq6O
Thanks again

Hi,
Enjoy,
Paul
The new Ecowitt LDS01 is working with CumulusMX. viewtopic.php?p=189709#p189709Also I see that Laser Distance Sensors can be added to CMX to automate the measurement. Is the an example of one that can be added anyone can share!
Enjoy,
Paul

Re: Webtag
Not without using the web tag in some form of script and manipulating it there.KF0KFL-13 wrote: ↑Sun 09 Mar 2025 10:36 pm I figured out how to remove the decimal point. I'm wondering if there's a way to force the number to a specific number of digits without the decimal point.
