Hi,
To delete 1 day or change some parts of a day in the monthly log files and dayfile.txt use the editor in local Dashboard. Click on Data Logs and select either > Monthly logs or Dayfile:
For Monthly, fill in Start date and End date and [Load]
Select the line you want to edit or delete, and press Edit or Delete button at the top left to move in edit and delete mode, edit or remove the line.
For Dayfile, go and click on the date line to select, and press Edit or Delete button at the top left to move in edit and delete mode, edit or remove the line.
For the various data highs and lows records, use the local Dashboard = Edit tab for All time, Monthly, This month, and This year editing.
Enjoy,
Paul

Hi,
As I mentioned,
For the various data highs and lows records, use the local Dashboard = Edit tab for All time, Monthly, This month, and This year editing.
You will need to use that Edit tab and correct any 'records' that are not correct - i.e.
Code: Select all
All Time Records Editor
Note: You can click on the Dayfile/Logfile Values/Timestamps to copy the value to your record fields
Caution, if you have lots of data this could be a lengthy process
Name Record Value Record Timestamp Dayfile Value Dayfile Timestamp Logfile Value Logfile Timestamp
High temperature 35.8 21/07/11 4:44 PM 35.8 21/07/11 4:44 PM
Low temperature -29.8 20/02/15 6:55 AM -29.8 20/02/15 6:55 AM
High dew point 28.2 07/04/12 3:45 PM
Enjoy,
Paul

You will probably need to close MX and delete cumulusmx.db in the data folder as this where all current data is held after MX is loaded.
By doing this it will recreate the .db file from your amended data.

Just want to make sure I understand. "Records" can mean the 'data' that is recorded in the log files, and also can be what is the 'high/max' or 'low/min' temperature, etc.
The editing of high/low "records' (alltime.ini, monthly.ini, monthlyalltime.ini, today.ini, year.ini) is through the Edit tab. This edit does not remove the data logged in your monthly logs or dayfile, so the high/low 'records' can reappear.
The editing of 'data' that is incorrectly logged in your monthly (\data\202501log.txt) or dayfile (data\dayfile.txt) is edited through the Data logs tab and either the Monthly logs or Dayfile editor. In this editor you can edit or delete any data line and that will be permanent.
My first post indicated where you would edit for both.
Hi,
To delete 1 day or change some parts of a day in the monthly log files and dayfile.txt use the editor in local Dashboard.
Enjoy,
Paul

Hi,
Deleting the data log files does not necessarily remove the all-time records from the .ini files so if they still popup then you will need to use the Edit tab to correct them.
A restart of CMX after editing the log files and update the files to your website should fix the charts
