Strings.ini

From Cumulus MX version 3 build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since, and has recently released Cumulus MX version 4. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Strings.ini

Post by apple8 »

After successfully upgrading my Ecowitt test site to MX4 I looked at upgrading my main site to MX4. However at the “copy cumulus.ini and strings.ini” step I couldn’t find a strings.ini file. Can I go ahead without this file or is it a requirement for version 4?

It is not mandatory in either CMX v3 or v4. I have attached mine.

Enjoy,
Paul

Thanks Paul, all done despite a four hour power loss from a storm after a 41oC day.

From what I understand unlike my old Davis Vue with logger, with Ecowitt gateways there is no recovery of data during/after a power loss despite them being powered from the laptop. Is that correct?
