Hi Ted,

So apparently something was somewhere incorrectly configured in CUtils and CMX.
Happy it is going again :D

Hans

Note that when looking at your NOAA I see for March there is a double entry for the 3d of March.
I think you need to:
  1. Edit the dayfile (see the logs) and remove both entres for 3 March
  2. Run CreateMissing
Check the NOAA tomorrow after rollover and see if it all is OK.

And could you manually run Cutils' command website once again or did you with the new CutilsCharts.def?

Hi Hans
Many thanks for all you help. It is mostly working OK now except that NOAA March has 1st, 2nd and 3rd missing. Corrected Dayfile as suggested and that seems OK. Deleted and regenerated report to no avail.
Commented out Overview in chartdef as I don't find it helpful. Will now try to add pressure on its own.
Thanks and regards
Ted

If you run CreateMissing does that not help? Because that would mean you do not have data in your logfile for 1, 2 and 3 march?
You would have to check that first. For the rest this would be a CMX problem. If you can't solve it try create a thread in the CMX4 forum.

OK. I believe if you replace that with the fragment below you will have your pressure chart. Note that the order of appearance in the definition file defines the order of appearance in the menu. For clarity, keep an open line between the chart definitions. If a problem, please post the resulting CutilsCharts.def again

Code: Select all

Chart Pressure Title Pressure
ConnectsTo 2 15
  PLOT pressure Colour red
EndChart

Oh, and after changing the CutilsCharts.def you always need to run

Code: Select all

dotnet utils/bin/cumulusutils.dll website
or

Code: Select all

dotnet utils/bin/cumulusutils.dll compileonly
from the CMX directory.

Hi Hans,
Everything working OK now (including NOAA). Made a few changes to chartsdef. Needed to run cutils website to get them to 'take'. compileonly didn't do it
Noticed an error in the chartdef example: conversion from m/s to km/hr requires *3.6 not /3.6, I think.
Many thanks

You really need to check that. Running website or compileonly has no difference concerning the chart generation code so the result should really be the same (website generates the whole everything, compileonly generates only the charts). When you do a compileonly do a CTRL-F5 (clear cache) before calling it a failure. CompileOnly really saves time!

I assume you mean the Apparent Temperature equation:

Code: Select all

AppTemp Eval [ Temperature + 0.33 * Avp - 0.7 * WindSpeed / 3.6 - 4.0 ]
I don't remember where I have the equation from (probably CMX) but you are right of course: m/s * 3.6 = km/h so the equation probably is wrong and converts km/h to m/s . I really have no idea what I was doing there, maybe just did not modify the comment or have an equation which requires WindSpeed in m/s while the WindSpeed is delivered in km/h. This type of equations is always treacherous in units used.

NB: there are more errors in that example file so beware. Good exercise :roll:

Have fun with the trial and error in CDL, if any questions / issues let me know (in a new thread)

yes, compileonly does work OK. But you need to use the drop-down menu to get graphs. :lol:

No that should not be necessary.

Could you generate with compileonly and inform me when done so that I can look at your site what the issue is?
Thank you.

Hi Ted,

Thanks for your optimism but if I look at your site it simply does not work and we are back to square one. Please always do a CTRL-F5 when changing things. You seem to see things differently from what I am seeing.

    This means you have your libraries for jQuery and Highcharts not included and that is strange because they should always be there in the website.

    I do not understand your configuration but there must be something wrong.
    Could you post your cumulusutils.ini and the latest log for compileonly run please?

    All very strange! As far as I can see the website is working correctly. The only difference is that when I use compileonly in 'home' I have to select a graph from the drop-down menu, whereas with website, the temp graph appears by default.

    You have in your cumulusutils.ini

    Code: Select all

    DoLibraryIncludes=true
    GeneratejQueryInclude=true

    Please in your cumulusutils.ini set

    Code: Select all

    DoLibraryIncludes=false
    GeneratejQueryInclude=false

    Run compileonly and everything should be fine.

    Strange indeed as the default is false, you probably experimented at some time in the past.
