MS Edge cache

I find it really annoying that there is no way that I have found of forcing MS Edge to always reload images and NOT use the cached images. I know it can be done in the Developer Console by ticking "Disable cache" but it only works within the F12 Developer console and is ignored on a normal page load.

Without changing to another browser does anyone know of a Edge setting or a registry setting that permanently disables the cache?

Unfortunately there isn't a built-in setting in Microsoft Edge to permanently disable the cache.
However, there is an extension called 'Classic Cache Killer' for Microsoft Edge. This extension automatically clears your browser cache before loading a page. I found it in response to your question in the Edge Add-ons store, so I have no experience with it.

I don't normally use Edge but I do have it on my Linux Laptop and I can find no option for force a reload of a displayed site without using the cache, no way to tell at present if using shift/f5 works on Edge in Linux. I do have Edge set to delete cache on exit. My default browser is Firefox and occasionally Chromium and all my systems are Linux. From what I've seen your solution of using the Developer Console is the only way. Another reason not to use Edge
