Hi Hans
This seems to work with no issues for me. One thing though it seems that the version counter was not updated.

OK. Thanks.
But 7.3.3 beta 5 is correct I think. Previous one was beta 4.

Hans,
you had me paranoid my files weren't updating again

@Andy, @Ian:
You both had me seriously worried I had posted the wrong files so I checked and I did not post the wrong files (I get version beta 5 when generating the website).
So seeing on your websites the version beta 4 does kind of worry me.
The best way to test this would be to disable an ExtraSensor in your Ecowitt app, restart CMX and after an hour or so re-enable that sensor. This should produce a gap in the line on the chart and all other sensors would continue properly.
If that does work you have beta 5.
Could you confirm using this method?
EDIT: also the fifth line of the logfile MUST read (time may differ):
Code: Select all
2025-01-13 01:05:01.904 CumulusUtils version: 7.3.3 beta 5

Hi Hans
Are you sure about the contents of the download file for beta 5. It is very small compared to the beta 4 file with just a runtime folder and the new executable files. I assume that the insertion point is the same as normal at the utils folder.

Yes, it is only the
bin directory.
You need to copy the files straight into the
utils/bin directory.
So the insertion point is NOT the utils directory but the
utils/bin!!
That could indeed be the cause.
I did not create a full distribution for beta 5, that shall be the cause.
I'll never do that again, my bad.

Hi Hans
Thanks for the clarification, now started and runs showing beta 5 on the website. It is fine that you only send short files for testing but for me at least I need to be reminded of the insertion point for bin files.
Keep up the great work.

Very clear @Andy. Thanks for testing, sorry for the error.
When sending out only bin releases or only executables, I'll accompany it with a warning in future.
Hoping I won't forget!

Anyway, I'll publish the 7.3.3 full release today evening or tomorrow if I don't get any observations.

ahhhhhh yep that would explain it

I had previous files in the wrong place and thought nothing was wrong when I copied these ones in - I should have been paying more attention

What feedback are you thinking of? What would you like to optimise?
