error message after update

From Cumulus MX version 3 build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since, and has recently released Cumulus MX version 4. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

error message after update

Post by Het Doelpunt »

Hello,

Recently I made the update of the latest version: V4.3.1 (b:4064). The current version that worked well for me is: V4.0.1 (b:4023). I had no reason to update earlier; everything worked fine. The new version gives a problem. The content of the error message is beyond my knowledge. I have a weather station from Instromet. The data from the weather station goes to a raspberry pi Zero 2W. Of course, this raspberry also runs the program CumulusMX. I updated and rebooted the OS on the raspberry pi. Even then the error message comes. I put the old version of Cumulus back. This is going well again.

Can someone help me with this error message? Do I need to run an interim update first?

Thanks in advance,

It seems there has been a change in some of the .NET 8 functions that is now catching out older versions of operating systems.

You are running Debian 11 (bullseye).

Microsoft stopped supporting Debian11 on the 14th of August this year, they now only support Debian12 (or later).

I'm afraid your only options are to revert to an older version of MX and stay on Debian 11 or upgrade your OS to Debian 12.

See: https://github.com/dotnet/core/blob/mai ... rted-os.md

PS: Your profile still says you are running Windows 11.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. I will replace debian11 with debian12 in the near future. If all goes well, you basically won't hear from me.

I have another question. Would it be possible to forward the Zambretti forecast messages, like other alarms, to your own email. When the forecast changes, the new forecast will be passed on the iPhone. I tried it with "User Alarm Settings". But, as expected, this does not work with forecast message.

Thanks in advance,
