I don't know if I explained myself correctly
Well not fully: the essence of my question is where does CMX upload its datafiles? To which directory on the server?
And do you indeed have only one (1) CMX instance?

Ok, just CMX

This type of installation was done for me by a person who has not lived in Spain for some time now.

OK. I think I can advise the following:
- We will not change much so the CumulusMX directory will be used for both the standard website and the CUtils website.
- Delete the FWI directory completely but make sure you copy your CutilsMenu.def file to /www/CumulusMX before you do that. As far as I can see that is the only non-standard CUtils file you use. If you know of other files you made in the FWI directory, copy those to /www/CumulusMX before you delete the FWI.
- Use the following settings:
- Cumulus.ini : Directory=/www/CumulusMX (so: no change there)
- Cumulusutils.ini :
UploadDir= (so: make or leave it empty)
CumulusRealTimeLocation= (so: make or leave it empty)
NOTE: don't edit Cumulus.ini manually but through the settings in CMX.
NOTE: The CumulusMX directory is used by both the standard CMX website and the CUtils website. This is possible because CUtils uses index.html and the CMX website uses index.htm. All other files do not contain conflicts
- The CumulusMX directory contains already (please check) the lib, css, Reports, images directories
- The CUicons directory is only needed if you use the yourweather forecast so you may leave that for now.
Now you are ready with the preparations of the server.
Please run:
Code: Select all
utils/bin/cumulusutils.exe website
and post the log here. The CUtils website now should correctly show when you go to
Code: Select all
https://www.badameteo.com/CumulusMX
The charts should update and so should the dashboard.
When reading the log we decide if fine tuning is OK.
You may need to redo the paths of the 10 minute and daily runs you did configure (I don't know where... CMX? or Windows scheduler?)

Before deleting FWI, the only file I found similar is "CutilsMenu-example-for-use.def" and inside it looks like this.

That's it, just rename it.

No, I meant CutilsMenu.def containing your own menu item Enlaces. If it is not there then just remove the directory.
You will have to redo it.

The log looks good but could you post your dayfile? There is one line there having an issue and I don't see it so I want to debug.
There are still two logfiles with duplicate data I think. You also need to correct the link for the map (remove FWI) it will bubble through the system on its own time. Just modify the inifile parameter.
I assume your 10 min. runs and your daily run are organised? How?
The rest is OK so afaiac it is fine now.
If I may recall a remark earlier in this thread:

For the future you may consider:
- To start using the user defined menu
- To start using the Charts compiler (using CutilsCharts.def) - the easy start is to copy CutilsCharts-default-for-use.def from the distribution to CutilsCharts.def in the utils directory and rerun CUtils for the website. That's it. The default is good enough for a start.
You may use the CutilsCharts.def without looking at the language. The default is good enough.
I think we are done now.
If you are happy, I am happy

From 1/2/12 - 28-2-12 the dayfile contains incomplete lines with null values string at the evaporation field.
This also occurs at several other (random) lines. You may try createmissing but if that is not succesfull we just leave the lines as they are. There is no way of knowing how to repair this and because the system runs and creates all info i'd say let it rest.

I will never tire of thanking you for the time you have dedicated to me.
I would like to tell you that the Links and the WebCam have been lost, but the backup copy that I keep on an external disk has the files that were used, I will try to remember how we did it.
A big hug
