Errors when running "cumulusutils.exe"
Hi Hans, what a pain... I just downloaded version 731, I proceeded as I more or less understood and when I run "cumulusutils" I see that it doesn't work very well, I'll send you the "utilslog" file and you'll see that it has many errors, this is undoubtedly my fault, when you can, tell me how to start, thanks

Re: Errors when running "cumulusutils.exe"
Hi Juan, Your parameter DoUploadFTP is set to false (section [FTP]) and must be true for the files to upload.
EDIT: And btw there are no further errors in running CUtils, everything is fine.

Well, I have already changed "True" in cumulusutils.ini I have executed the program, but does not recognize the new version 731, nor do the graphics appear, I attach another "log" generated after the last execution

OK, I see you have it running OK and the files are uploading.
Now I have the following additional remarks from the logfile above:

This usually happens when starting/stopping occurs the wrong way (newer versions of CMX do not have that so often) . With errors like that, the system runs fine but you get wrong statistics and double data on that day. For all those lines you may want to remove the double data (only one line per time is possible)

For the future you may consider:
- To start using the user defined menu
- To start using the Charts compiler (using CutilsCharts.def) - the easy start is to copy CutilsCharts-default-for-use.def from the distribution to CutilsCharts.def in the utils directory and rerun CUtils for the website. That's it. The default is good enough for a start.

I'll check the log tomorrow but I see your website having 7.3.1 and everything seems fine. Only the charts do not update. I'll come back to that tomorrow.Juan Maria Vilaro wrote: ↑Sun 08 Dec 2024 10:22 pm Well, I have already changed "True" in cumulusutils.ini I have executed the program, but does not recognize the new version 731, nor do the graphics appear, I attach another "log" generated after the last execution

Re: Errors when running "cumulusutils.exe"
Good morning Juan, regarding the update of the charts the following:
- You need to upgrade to version 7.3.2 beta 2; I found errors in the charts you use against the CMX version you use and they were corrected. Please run the full website command after updating.
- You need to check in CMX if you upload the alldailytempdata.json, alldailyraindata.json and alldailysolardata.json. You check that in
Code: Select all
Settings=>Internet Settings=>Interval Configuration=>Normal Interval Settings=>Daily Graph File Settings - Also check the realtime charts please:
Make sure the graphconfig.json, tempdata.json, pressdata.json, winddata.json, wdirdata.json, humdata.json, raindata.json and solardata.json are ticked.
Code: Select all
Settings=>Internet Settings=>Interval Configuration=>Normal Interval Settings=>Graph File Settings - When corrections to the datafiles are made please force an upload through CMX : Utils=>Upload/Copy now! with the first two ticked.

I cannot explain that.

Re: Errors when running "cumulusutils.exe"
Hello Hans, thank you very much for your selfless collaboration. This morning cumulusutils was already at version 731. Then I saw your messages and proceeded first of all, following the advice, to repair all the LOGs that had dates wrongly ordered or duplicated, which took me more than 3 hours. Then I downloaded version 732 beta as you told me and installed it immediately. After that, I ran the program, which I am attaching "utilslog".
I am sure that the fact that you find something strange in the installation is due to my mistakes, since perhaps I am not doing the updates correctly.
I would like to find some place on the "wiki" where it is explained how to do the update correctly and how to locate the files in CumulusMX4 and in CumulusMx on the server, because I think I have it very wrong.

Re: Errors when running "cumulusutils.exe"
Hi Juan,
We are getting there: the datafiles are almost clean (still something to do but not urgent) and we will now look at the installation. And yes... datafile correction and/or cleaning can be time consuming.
Apparently you upload CMX in /www/CumulusMX and if I understand you well you wish to upload CUtils in FWI.
I think that is too complex that is what we will discuss.
But If I understand the system you only have the CUtils website and no other websites (like e.g. the standard website or the Saratoga template website). II do see however an empty old website on your webroot : https://badameteo.com/
Question: Does that old website still have a meaning or may that one be deleted?
And then I see a working website of 7.3.2 beta 2 on https://badameteo.com/CumulusMX and a non-working website (the one I was looking at) in version 4.3.2 beta 2 on https://badameteo.com/CumulusMX/FWI. That is very confusing. We need to reduce that to just one path on the server, preferably the basic webroot.
Question: So which one do you want to use? Or would it be OK to just use https://badameteo.com/
If you want my advise and have no other websites: just upload to https://badameteo.com/ so you would configure:
If you do not wish to configure the above, but want another directory, please propose the directory on the server and the configuration you wish to use.
If you have questions, please ask before you take the above action.
Otherwise, fill in the above, restart CMX and rerun CUtils.
Post the log and I will review the situation.

Re: Errors when running "cumulusutils.exe"
Hello Hans, thank you for your patience. First of all, I would like to tell you that I am a person who likes music and wants to play the piano, but I don't know music theory and I play by ear. By this I mean that there are some concepts that you who know a lot use that I don't quite understand and that's why I have to ask.
As you can see, I have my pages hosted on a paid server that works very well until today, "Hosting badameteo.com" so I have several templates hosted that I will detail below.

With respect to piano playing... that may result in great music so no problem. Asking is the way to improvement.Juan Maria Vilaro wrote: ↑Mon 09 Dec 2024 3:26 pm Hello Hans, thank you for your patience. Having seen your list, I assume you have only one instance of CMX running?
All websites use the data from that single CMX instance?
Question: Is the above correct or do you have more CMX instances. And if so which one will you use for CUtils?
Question: if the above is correct, how are the datafiles distributed between all those sites?
When I have a complete picture I will advise on how to configure.

From CMX they take the data, (Awekas), (Template (Meteotemplate)), (pswWD), (saratogaCU),
The other pages use Weather Display and Weatherlink
I don't know if I explained myself correctly
