The other end of the tree showing the cables damaged!! Apparently a 120yr old tree.

And unfortunately it did cause some damage to the top flats but not as much as it would of it it had fallen into the flats, top floor only affected.

Pretty heavy. Was that a public tree or a private one?

Not really sure it was in or on the edge of the grounds of private flats, but was there before the flats were built so probably public.

If you buy ground to build, any tree on that ground becomes your property.
If it was in it must have been private. If it was on the edge that will be an interesting legal battle with the community.
I hope for the owner he is insured well.
