I have two websites, one out of the box https://metwatcher.co.uk/ which runs cumulusmx on a windows tablet, and another site https://pcmwx.com/ which runs using raspberry pi.
I'm quite a novice, so if it works I don't meddle or change anything. I avoid the dragon's at all costs.
Over the last 36 hours or so both sites, both running different versions of cumulus, using different hardware are failing to update regularly.
Metwatcher does update every 2 hours or so, pcmwx updates every 3 or 4 mins.
I attach log file.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Re: FTP..Weather station offline
Looking at the logfile you appear to have an issue with your webcam (updates):
I have no idea what is going on there but it seems to me that if that has a blocking timeout, your realtime updates will not be successful as it proves to be the case, see:
Actually I do not see your webcam on Windy as it always was.
Another possibility is that your credentials for your server have become invalid?
So my twopence: repair your webcam thing and see how that works out.
And further: congrats with your physical move of the weather station, the site looks good.

Re: FTP..Weather station offline
You appear to have pasted a load of HTML and JS into the CustomHttpSeconds URL field:
From that it looks like it should just be:
Code: Select all
<!-- webcam.io widget --> <script type="text/javascript">window.timelapseview_options=window.timelapseview_options || {};window.timelapseview_options["eqPBH"] = {"e":"Mpe8A9","t":"1","x":"680","y":"620"};</script><script src="https://webcam.io/s/widget-v1_03.load.js?i=eqPBH" async></script> <!-- end webcam.io widget -->Code: Select all
https://webcam.io/s/widget-v1_03.load.js?i=eqPBH-

Re: FTP..Weather station offline
Gents,
Many thanks for taking the time to reply so promptly.
I've tidied up the webcam entries and disabled all third party uploads.
The sporadic upload still persists.
I attach copy of files detailing issues.
Any learned help or input would be gratefully received.
Paul

Re: FTP..Weather station offline
Yes, much better but indeed still errors. That might be a line/provider quality issue.
I noticed your ftp.log starts on the 7th and the MXdiags log starts the 8th. That makes - lots of data - analysis difficult and beyond that: I am not an FTP specialist so I am not sure what is happening here.
I'll leave this to an FTP specialist but it may be useful, to stop CMX, remove ftp.log and restart CMX. Then run for 10 minutes, stop CMX and post the FTP and MXdiags log again. This leaves both logs synchrone and smaller and thus easier to analyse. But maybe all others can do with the files you did send already.

I have approached hosting company who advised no issues or changes regarding my credentials.
I attach two additional log files

Re: FTP..Weather station offline
It seems the uploads of the files to the tmp file start OK (it sends the filename and switches on EPSV), but when the FTP client actually tries to send the data it cannot connect to the server.
First thing I would try is disabling EPSV mode in Cumulus.
Internet Settings > Advanced Settings
- Enable Automatic Connection = unticked
- Disable EPSV mode in FTP(S) = ticked
Then restart Cumulus
The FTP server says it supports EPSV - well it accepts the command, but when you login FTP servers normally send a list features they support, this server does not do that.

Re: FTP..Weather station offline
Thanks,
Changed the Advanced settings as requested.
Issue still prevails
Attached copy log files.
Just a reminder that up until 3 days or so everything worked as normal, the webcam pasted incorrect upload field has been there for many months.
And if it works I don't meddle.
