Hi Guys, I've been getting on very well with v4, but have problems with latest release. No data on the dashboard, just the clock time. Can you help? Have added two files from MXdiags.

Assuming you updated well, all problems seem to have to do with libraries being incompatible.
Did you try updating your system:
Code: Select all
apt update
apt full-upgrade
apt autoremove
apt clean
should do it

Thanks Hans ... Unfortunately that didn't do it. How can I check if I 'updated well'. BTW great paper on AMOC on your bluesky post.

If updating did not do it, wait for Mark somebody else on more OS related issues.

It looks like the /runtimes folder has not been copied out of the distribution zip file, you need to unzip everything out of the file.

Hi Mark, I unzipped the complete distribution AFAIK (repeated to be sure), Still no joy. It seems to be lacking GLIBC_2.34 (?) Tried reverting to b4043, but that didn't work, in fact service startup failed. Is there anything else I can send to help?

Ah, I just read, Debian 11 is no longer supported for .NET 8 - it ended in August 2024. I suspect the output of the above command will show a glibc version lower than 2.34.
My pi's are all running Raspbian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm), and that comes with glibc version 2.36

Yes, it's 2.31. b4043 ran perfectly well.

The new version has lots of updated components including the IO Ports. It looks like this needs a later version of glibc. So you will either have to stay on b4043, or update the OS.

Thanks Mark Which would you recommend - bearing in mind my limited abilities.
? I've tried unzipping 4043 and starting CMX (as service) but that won't work.

You need to revert the diary.db file back to a pre-4063 copy. Or if you do not use the weather diary, delete the diary.db file.

Hi Mark,
Renamed diary.db. CMX now running but not picking up archive data. So eg rainfall shows latest cumulative reading.

Ah ... reason for no archive data is that all the data files (since 2015) have been wiped. Luckily I have a backup for most of them.
