Autumn 2024 report

Meteorological Autumn 2024 ended yesterday. Here are some stats for my station in Cheadle Hulme which I hope you find interesting.
Highest temperature was 25.5°C on 6 September.
Lowest temperature was -4.8°C on 21 November.
The wettest day was 30 September when 1.9" (48mm) fell. The second wettest day in 15 years of recording.
The highest wind gust was 34mph recorded on both 20 October (Storm Ashley) and 24 November (Storm Bert).
The average temperature for Autumn was 10.5°C making it the fourth coldest autumn since I started keeping records in 2009. Only 2010, 2012 and 2019 were colder.
Rainfall was 10.56" (268mm) - 112.8% of that expected. September had 202% of that expected but October's was 74% and November's 78%.
Sunshine was below average for both September and November. October's was close to the average.
Overall, a cooler, slightly wetter and duller autumn than average.
