NOAA Settings
Where does CMX4 store/save the setting shown in the attachment? I am trying to figure out how/why/when it changes. On multiple occasions it appears to have reverted to old setting of "/public_html/Reports" and I don't understand why...

Re: NOAA Settings
setting in is cumulus.ini under the [NOAA] section
the reverting to 'public_html' is due most likely to your ftp setting for your root folder of your website. /public_html/ is usually the root folder of most websites.

Re: NOAA Settings
Thanks. I checked the ini file and it is currently showing correct path. Will monitor for changes...

Re: NOAA Settings
It did it again...just checked and the settings has again reverted back to /public_html/Reports
CMX4 has been up and running since I last checked the settings so I do not understand how this keeps changing...need some help to figure this out. Could it happen when CMX4 rotates the log file?

Re: NOAA Settings
I looked in the code, the value is only set in two places: when it is read from the Cumulus.ini file, and when it is set from the settings page.
Edit: There is a third place! in the initial configuration wizard.
If using FTP upload that concatenates the upload folder and "Reports"
So have you run the Wizard in the meantime?

Re: NOAA Settings
Here's a snip from the daily backup zip file for the 27th.
It's possible I ran the wizard I normally don't, i just go into the NOAA setup upload settings. I'm still looking thru files to see if I can spot anything but if you need a specific file I can upload it for you. I'm not sure exactly when or where CMX4 would log any entry about the ini file.

Re: NOAA Settings
Log files are in the MXdiags folder in your Cumulus installation. Best to zip up the whole folder and attach to a reply to this topic, rather than trying to guess what might be relevant.

Re: NOAA Settings
I will do that, but as it stands now, there were a few days when it could have happened and I prefer to narrow it down to a specific day/time.
I am avoiding the wizard screen and only visit the NOAA upload settings to check for a change. If/when it changes again I will post the log.
