MacOS Install Trouble

From Cumulus MX version 3 build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since, and has recently released Cumulus MX version 4. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

MacOS Install Trouble

Post by dgarritt »

Hi All,

I'm running into trouble trying to install CumulusMX on a new Mac mini.

I was able to download CumulusMX and install .NET per the wiki viewtopic.php?t=22051

I was also able to past get by the Privacy& Security restriction listed.

However, when I run the "dotnet CumulusMX.dll" command, I get the following error
"System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load shared library 'e_sqlite3' or one of its dependencies."

MXDiags.zip file is attached.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the help!
-Dave

(PS - please be kind - I haven't used terminal/command prompt since my Fortran77 days in college 35 years ago so I'm a little rusty....)

Sounds like you have either not copied the files over correctly or might be if there is such a thing on the MAC not starting from a terminal with Admin permissions.

Thank you!

I unzipped the file a second time, kept it in my download directory, and launched it from there. After I realized I had a TCP/IP not Serial connection, worked like a charm.

Again, really appreciate the help!

Thanks
Dave
