Rainfall Total question

I set up Cumulus around January 17, 2010. In the initial settings I put in .46 inches rain to date. We have had some rain since the 17th. The "rainfall this year" is accurate. However, the "rainfall this month" is short by .46. Is this because Cumulus doesnt recognize that January is the first month and the rainfall for the month should be the same as the fainfall for the year?

Obviouosly the rainfall for the month (and year) will be accurate starting in Feb.

Just curious.

Thanks

The 'year to date rainfall' is just applied to the year to date, not to any month. It just happens to be January, so in this case it would make sense to apply the whole amount to this month. If it were not January, it would not. So it doesn't, it just applies it to the annual total, and the monthly totals are unaffected. Which I think is the same as what you're saying, yes.
