Error encountered during MySQL operation

Hi,

I changed my webhost provider back in March and everything has been working great, but a few days ago I started to get the following error when MX tries to write to the MySQL database -

Error encountered during MySQL operation = Access denied for user 'banks620_trevor'@'58.179.90.64' (using password: YES)

I haven't changed any settings within Cumulus or on the webhosting site. I can manually log into phpMyAdmin and access the database and have confirmed the server details are correct in Cumulus.

The ip address in the message (58.179.90.64) is the static address used for my internet connection. I contacted my host provider but they say nothing has changed on their end. I still believe the issue is related to something they have changed as it was working and then just stopped. Does anyone have any suggestions as to things I can try.

What does the entry in the user table for that user look like?
Select * from user;

You could confirm it is definitely the host by trying to connect from a MySQL app or command line from your home machine.

Thanks Mark. I have just worked out that my static ip address has changed and I needed to list the new address in the remote access in cpanel. You would have thought the webhost provider would have told me that when I raised the issue.
