WH 3080/2080 and maximum RAIN 2479

My WSP3080 and two WH2080 have in program "Current rain counter" as 2478 and is not possible set it to 0. Factory reset not helps.
"Start of day rain counter" is 2478 too. I am trying change it to 0,0 via EDIT. It seems, as it is starting value in this month. Why ?

Rainfall max is 2479mm.

Why do you want to reset it?

The counter is an internal value that Cumulus uses to determine the rainfall figures.

I don’t know if it’s an internal value; it reminds me of a value that briefly appears on the station display after a "factory reset," but Easyweather doesn’t display it, whereas CMX shows it in the files under the "Edit" section for the year and month (when I installed CMX)…

The counter is read from the station. Cumulus takes the difference between the counter at the start of the day and now to determine how much rain has fallen so far today.
