Export to WeatherLink

From Cumulus MX version 3 build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since, and has recently released Cumulus MX version 4. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Sorry for all the confusion. Too bad CMX cannot just upload to WLL. That would be simpler, and much preferrable for me.
As far as I know only a Davis device. or a clone like WiFiLogger, can upload to Weatherlink.com. And for the confusion, I think Davis is the cause with their many 'Weatherlinks' - Weatherlink Serial, USB and IP loggers, Weatherlink PC program, Weatherlink.com cloud platform, Weatherlink Live device, Weatherlink console (the new one), and each is somewhat different.

Enjoy,
Paul

Wow. I never heard of the WiFiLogger.

I went to their website, and it appears that the WiFi logger does a lot of the same things as CMX; excepting maybe keeping a detailed log and providing an internal weather website.

I've been quite happy with CMX for almost an entire decade though.

What am I missing?

You've not been missing anything as WiFiLogger is a data logger much like the Weatherlink IP logger, with some extra features. It is not like CMX (a full weather program) but CMX can access the VP2 station data through the WiFiLogger, including archived data catch up for the period that CMX may not have been running.

In an earlier post you mentioned
As I read through the instructions, does changing the station type to Davis WLL eliminate the other 3rd party uploads I'm currently using with Davis Vantage Pro 2 (e.g. Wunderground, Windy, PWS , Met Office, CWOP, etc.)?
WifiLogger on its own is able to upload to those 3rd party sites.

Enjoy,
Paul
