Missing file when upgrading to 4043

From Cumulus MX version 3 build 3044 the development baton passed to Mark Crossley. Mark has been responsible for all the Builds since, and has recently released Cumulus MX version 4. He has made the code available on GitHub. It is Mark's hope that others will join in this development, but at the very least he welcomes your ideas for future developments (see Cumulus MX Development suggestions).

Missing file when upgrading to 4043

Post by Peasantmk2 »

Hello,
I encountered an error where Cumulus crashed after upgrading to the latest version. I had done what I always do, namely unzip the new version, copy over my Cumulus.ini, strings.ini, data and reports folders. On checking the error logs it couldn't find UniqueId.txt

I copied UniqueId.txt from my previous installation and it all worked fine. Any ideas why it should be missing this? Thanks.

As it's name suggests, UniqueId.txt is unique to your installation, therefore it cannot be included in the distribution. You must copy it from your previous installation each time you upgrade.
