IP Link??
Cumulus will do all of this for you.
Who's your ISP as you probably have free webspace to upload to?
Doesn't matter if it's not 24/7

I know Cumulus can do a lot of things (I just managed to get my coffee brewed when Cumulus send the proper data to a PHP script... )...

But a Davis Vantage Pro2 console without a datalogger connection such as a WeatherLink IP (or Serial or USB - that is probably what Peter had in mind when he wrote 'buy the IP link') is of little use to Cumulus... :(

Yes, Peter apparently has a VP2 as well.

A bit off topic here but,
I purchased a VP2 with a datalogger with serial connection.
Another option was a datalogger with Weatherlink IP, that connects the console to my internet router directly, and apparantly it sends the data to a Davis site, from which you can access the data.
I have always thought I needed the IP link to start a website in order to have streaming data, but are you suggesting I can do this with Cumulas but without a computer running 24/7?
I use TelstraClear as an ISP.
I will watch for developments re: VirtualVP as its a great concept and has many satisfied users.
Cheers

Steve thinks it's a timing issue, and he's working on a solution.

Hi Steve - I wonder if there has been any progress in identifying why VirtualVP is not uploading data from the weather station?

I haven't heard back from Steve Hatchett; I'll give him a nudge.

OK. I've now given up on VirtualVP - for me it just doesn't do what is claimed. I get lots of power outages here - nearly all during "interesting" weather. If VirtualVP won't download data saved on the weather station during a power outage, it's pretty useless for me.

I've been in touch with VirtualVP support and apparently it's a problem encountered by several others which he can't replicate so there's nothing he can do to fix it... Pity.
