Just an add on : shut down CMX for 30 mins. during heavy rain on restart of CMX there was no rainfall in the archive data.
Thing new console needed

It looks like the last midnight rollover was not performed for some reason. This causes MX to ignore the rainfall. I'd roll it back to a backup point from yesterday, then let it catch-up again, that should process the midnight rollover.

Thanks again Mark your job would be a lot easier if us lot were a bit brainier. If we get rain today will that show?

Got fed up waiting for the rain so I did as Mark suggested and did the backup, yes the rain is now there in the logfile but not for yesterday?

Did you restore a backup from prior to your failed rollover? The backup restored should be from before 26th October.

Freddie the 'don't like getting beaten' in me was still trying to get back to using HTTP yesterday with CMX being stopped and restarted many times so all earlier than the 26th backups are gone so still using the cloud. The CMX for the HP2551 was not running so no rollover. Think I will just keep it as it is and stop tinkering.

Use a backup as Mark said but only restore the files in the DATA to the DATA directory not the root files and this will not overwrite your Cumulus.ini file thus keeping your current settings

Just a quick note for what David said about the size of the SD card. I now have a 8gb card and it works as it did before so the result is SALES 1 TECH MANUAL 0
No mater what I have tried the 2551 is not talking to CMX (OUT)

As a last resort I tried a firmware update after which the console would not talk to CMX even using the cloud. A restart was the last straw as it showed "starting" and the a blank screen repeating. IN THE RECYLE SKIP. Ordered a HP2550_C and now got a HP2551_CA. CMX reading fine. Just completed a windows update and restarted CMX but checking the diag file things still not right. ;Gateway Custom Server config does not match the required config. Where am I going wrong?. Diag and config screen shot attached.

Although The Config for the 2551_CA is wrong as per post above, CMX has been working great, Log file is written as expected. Realtimegauges also is good with times within +- 5sec. until today in respect to the Lightning sensor data. There was lightning on Friday during the storm but did not record.
It was dry today and I took down the sensor and brought it indoors to try and get some electrical alarms the 2551_CA did pick them up, all 93 of them. CMX has the count showing but the lightning time didn't change.

ps:- due to running 2 CMX progs I have the port set to 8999

My very very slow motion grey mater made me look further into all data as there was a detection on the 22/12. Today the console had the lightning icon flashing and showed the count but the dist. on console is '--mile'. also on WSView there is no info of a strike today.

Only prob is with the configuration of the console
