I'm afraid I know nothing about SBS. I don't think it does the same VirtualStore trick as Vista? I would have thought it was some kind of permissions problem. Can you run Cumulus as an administrator? If you stop Cumulus and then start it again, do the graphs get build properly or do they start from scratch?

Re: No log file created
Well, I hadn't tried that - stopping the program and restarting it, since installing it!
Problem solved: The month/year log file has now been created and is recording data and I expect that come midnight so will the day file.
So, it would seem it has nothing to do with either the weather station or the operating system, but probably the installation process.
Can someone else please confirm this so the following might become part of the Troubleshooting FAQ?
Q: My screen display shows current readings, but no history exists and the data files have not been created. What do I do?
A: You need to stop the program and restart it after initial installation, to create the history data files.

Re: No log file created
Interesting. You shouldn't need to restart to get it to start logging. I may have introduced a bug where the timers which control the logging don't get started on the first run (and maybe just for Oregon stations) - I'll check. The code is quite different now (i.e. in 1.8.3), though.
Edit: Yes, that's the bug, only affects Oregon stations. I'll make sure it's fixed in the next build. And Simon, who started this thread, has an Oregon too, but with the added complication of Vista. A double whammy, or whatever the expression is.
